Adventures with French children!

The two grandchildren of my host parents arrived on Monday, Feb. 16th to stay for a week. It is vacation for the public school kids here, so they came to visit from Lyon.
They are adorable. Léonore is 6 yrs old and Eliott is 4 yrs old. They were pretty shy at first and we just colored pictures in silence. The next day, however, they found out I could make paper cranes and they started talking to me a lot. I made so many cranes! And they kept asking for smaller and smaller ones until they were almost impossible to fold!
On Wednesday afternoon I went with my host mom, Annick, and the kids to an indoor play park. It was insane. Due to the school vacation, the place was filled to the max (750 people) and there were kids running and screaming everywhere. And most of them had consumed way too much sugar.
On Thursday afternoon I took
Léonore and Eliott to the cinema to see "La Légende de Despereaux," which was a very cute movie. And they behaved very well. I was proud of myself for being able to understand them (it can be difficult to understand little kids when they are speaking in French...).
It has been very fun getting to know them! :)
